Founded in 1989 by Michael Cannon and Christopher Desler, the Honest Brook Music Festival is committed to presenting outstanding young musicians and well-known artists to the residents of Delaware and the surrounding counties in upstate New York.

This summer Honest Brook celebrates 25 years of presenting First Rate classical performances in Meredith, NY in its preserved dairy barn in the heart of the former dairy capitol of New York State.

For any non-profit Arts Organization this marks a tremendous milestone. Over the years we have presented many musicians who have achieved world-class status on their instruments including Anne-Marie McDermott, piano; Todd Palmer, clarinet; The Brasil Guitar Duo; The St. Lawrence Quartet; and artists already respected world-wide for their artistry including The Dorian Wind Ensemble, The Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio, and The Shanghai Quartet.

This Season we welcome back artists that have been exceedingly generous to and supportive of the Festival. We begin our 25th Season with the Shanghai Quartet. This will mark their fifth performance at the Festival. Our second concert will feature our co-founder and Artistic Director Michael Cannon, piano. For our third concert we will present The Jupiter String Quartet. The Festival goes back to the beginning with the Jupiter having presented their debut performance in New York City. And we are honored to close our 25th Season with our dear friends and supporters violinist Jaime Laredo and his wife Sharon Robinson, cello.
